Timeline Events of the Club
MIT World Peace University's flagship national artificial intelligence hackathon bringing together India's top student innovators for an intense 24-hour sprint to build, deploy, and scale groundbreaking AI solutions.
Concluded on March 6–7, 2026 with 500+ participants across India, 24 hours of non-stop AI building, and ₹1 Lakh+ prize pool awarded to the winners.
The flagship thought-leadership conference featuring interactive sessions, keynotes, fireside chats, live demos, and mentorship with distinguished leaders across tech, industry, and research.
The flagship entrepreneurship competition connecting student innovators with mentorship, industry feedback, venture incubation, and angel investment across maturity stages from Ideation to registered Startups.
The club's flagship technical festival — the broadest of the five. A national platform combining technical competitions, innovation challenges, technical conferences, coding contests, research presentations, and networking sessions.
The flagship project exhibition spotlighting built engineering projects rather than competitions — featuring capstone project reviews across departmental tracks and a national-level exhibition open to all institutions.
MIT-WPU's premier 24-hour national artificial intelligence hackathon across 6 thematic AI domains. Born from a single 24-hour hackathon organized in just 12 days by students from the Dept. of Polytechnic & Skill Development, Ignisia has grown into a nationwide proving ground for top coders and AI architects.
Teams joined from IITs, NITs, and premier institutions across Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Telangana — featuring 500+ student innovators, round-the-clock building, and ₹1 Lakh+ in cash prizes awarded.
Targeting 1,000+ teams, expanded international participant outreach, deeper industry problem tracks, specialized AI compute resources, and a substantially larger prize pool.
Ignisia's flagship speaker series inspired by the TED format. Every iTalks session is a carefully curated, short, and powerful talk — no long lectures, no corporate decks. Just one person, one idea, and one stage. Most breakthrough ideas at university never leave the classroom — iTalks gives them a microphone.
Held monthly on-campus and open to all students. Each 10–15 minute session features a student builder, distinguished alumni, startup founder, or industry technologist sharing an impactful insight, followed by an open, unscripted audience Q&A.
Ignisia's annual project expo and innovation summit. “Incubex isn't for people with perfect ideas — it's for people willing to build imperfect ones until they become great.” Unlike fixed problem-statement hackathons, Incubex gives students the platform to pitch their own original ideas, products, and early-stage ventures before founders, angel investors, and industry veterans.
Recognition beyond grades, actionable feedback from active founders and investors, connections with co-founders and fellow builders, and direct referrals into top incubation programs and grant networks.
Ignisia's flagship annual technology festival — the broadest of the five. A national-level two-day arena bringing together student innovators, developers, and makers for intense technical competitions, hands-on workshops, tech debates, and live exhibitions.
Two packed days featuring high-stakes challenges, cutting-edge tooling masterclasses, and thought-provoking panels on the future of technology:
Ignisia's annual national project exhibition — a stage where student ideas meet industry eyes. Unlike fast-paced hackathons, Innovision gives teams time to develop and refine engineering projects over weeks with mentor guidance, presenting working hardware and software solutions directly to industry and academic evaluation panels.
1. Capstone Project Review & Exhibition: Comprehensive project showcase for final-year students across departmental tracks (CSE & AI, ECE, Mechanical, Civil, etc.) with dedicated track awards.
2. National Level Open Exhibition: Open to undergraduate and polytechnic innovators across India presenting applied engineering and research prototypes.
